In a mother's own words...
Since birth I felt that my son wasn't a happy infant, and then we were told that he had gastrointestinal issues. As time went by I felt that he was not developing "normally." I contacted Birth to 3. At 16 months old, Birth to 3 mentioned to me that he is showing signs of Autism, he wasn't babbling or pointing or paying attention to me, my husband or his 3 year old sister. He would look at us for only 2 to 3 seconds, and never looked at our mouth when we spoke. Be the time he was 16 months old, he had eight ear infections. At 17 months we decided to put tubes in his ears due to the infections. Within 3 weeks he had another ear infection, and every time we finished the antibiotics, 2 days later the infection began. He started to walk but wasn't confident. One of his Birth to 3 therapists told me that his upper body and his lower body are not "working together."
I would cry myself to sleep because the stress level was high in the household. I average going to the doctor once every week.
A good friend of mine has mentioned to me that she loves her chiropractor and that I should try to use his services.
Since we started care ... I feel like I finally have my son. MY SON IS HAPPY (her emphasis). I feel that he lived in pain for the first 17th months of his life. Since the adjustments he "woke up" from where he was. He pays attention to me when I read, he is now sleeping through the night, and my husband mentioned that his posture looks better. Even is my son is autistic, I feel that he is happy and that is all that counts with me. Most of all I see my children playing together, loving each other, laughing out loud, and enjoying each other.
I used to tell my daughter "Don't bother your brother, he doesn't want to play at this time, leave him alone."
My daughter looked at me 2 days ago and said "Mommy, Ethan loves me." That filled my heart. I told her "Yes, honey. He loves you."
It is an honor and a privilege to be a chiropractor.
Thanks
